This World’s Largest Pineapple is one of Australia’s most amazing Big Things To See!

Located in Woombye, Queensland, this tourist attraction is a favorite of visitors to the Sunshine Coast. Made from fibreglass and standing 16 metres tall, it was originally built in 1971. There are 2 fun rides to take next to The Big Pineapple — the Nut Mobile and the guided train ride tour around the plantation that surrounds this Giant Fruit! The train also transports people to the small petting zoo located nearby.

This Awesome Aussie Pineapple was the first attraction awarded to a tourist development in Queensland, in 1972 (one year after Bill Taylor and his wife purchased the farm), which is located adjacent to the Bruce Highway at 76 Nambour Connection Rd, Woombye QLD 4559.

This World’s Largest Pineapple and the plantation was bought in 2010 by the Bowden family of Buderim. In April 2013, the 1st “Big Pineapple Music Festival” was held, featuring Birds of Tokyo!
