World’s Largest Rocking Chair

If You Have a Really Tall Ladder, You Can Have a Seat Right Here!

Big Things To See in the USA enjoys telling our VroomVroomVroom car rental customers about Awesome Attractions and Massive Merchandise all across this great nation! And we know that a lot of our readers may be a little too young to enjoy sitting on a quiet front porch after a long day’s work. However, this is one Big Thing To See that deserves recognition, whether you’d enjoy owning one or not!

The World’s Largest Rocking Chair is located near Jefferson City, Missouri, in the unincorporated community of Fanning. You’ll find Fanning in western Crawford County, about 4.5 miles west of the town of Cuba, along Missouri Supplemental Route ZZ (formerly U.S. Route 66).

The Fanning 66 Outpost, located at 5957 Highway ZZ, Cuba, MO 65453, is where you can visit the World’s Largest Rocking Chair. It was built by John R. Bland and Joe Medwick in 2008. This Stupendously Super Seat is 42 feet, 1 inch tall and 20 feet, 3 inches wide. “The Route 66 Rocker” is easily the coolest Big Thing To See in the region west of St. Louis!

Best of all, the Outpost store hosts an Annual “Picture on the Rocker Day”, when you can get WAY UP THERE and pose for one! Check the Fanning 66 Outpost website for details about the next photo op!
